This lesson focuses on the rivers and streams of Southern Oregon and species that live in them including salmon, lamprey, and suckers. After the lesson, students will be able to explain the advantages of several adaptations of aquatic species. This lesson aligns with NGSS standard MS-3-LS1-1, which involves developing models to describe that organisms have unique and diverse life cycles but all have in common birth, growth, reproduction, and death.
